Rapid prototyping is playing an ever greater role in industry and this is likely to continue to the point where the technology is used in day to day manufacture alongside conventional manufacturing methods. For the moment designers utilize the technology more than most for a variety of benefits. Design engineers have embraced the technology with delight as it allows them to quickly and economically demonstrate proof of concept to customers and other stakeholders. Improvements to the product design and debugging are now also possible earlier in the process before committing to any costly tooling.
Some customers only want to have a physical model in hand to better realize the design concept while other customers need a prototype for functional testing of the design concept. There are many different typed of additive rapid prototyping available so we will be able to select a process that best suits our customers end requirements.
